Today Kevin Lowery, a visionary photographer with an impressive track record of managing creative teams joins Weymouth Watson as Creative Director. You’ve probably seen Kevin’s work in support of the most pivotal campaigns of the last several years whether Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock, Stacy Abrams or Sen. Booker. Their collaborative spirit, ability to match client vision with execution, and incredible eye for capturing human connection make them an invaluable addition to our team.

Creative Services have always been intertwined with our work at Weymouth Watson. We have been lucky over the years to collaborate with incredible designers, photographers, and videographers on a project-by-project basis. As the scale of our business has grown, we feel that Creative should not be a limited add-on to our existing offerings, but a throughline running across our portfolio and informing how we build impactful events.

We live in a time when interesting forces in our industry are coming to a head. AI offers limitless creativity on demand, but threatens to undermine our understanding of reality, making in-person experiences more valuable than ever. At the same time, the expectations of audiences after an explosive post-pandemic return to live events are higher than ever. When we see events meet this moment (see smash tours from Taylor Swift & Beyoncé), they couple flawless execution with incredible creativity. To us this is proof that the future of live events is intertwined with Creative, and their mutual success is dependent on the other. This is why we are excited to bring both together at Weymouth Watson.

Why a Creative Director Matters

Bringing a Creative Director on board is the first step in our expansion into Creative Services. We believe this move aligns with our core mission and the work we already do exceptionally well. By doing so, we aim to amplify the impact of the events we produce by integrating previously external partners into our workstream and by approaching all work with a strategic eye towards event-driven content creation. This is how we plan to produce events that meet the moment.

Unlocking New Collaborations

By incorporating Creative Services as a stand alone offering in addition to event management and production we hope to provide our clients with new ways to engage with Weymouth Watson. This means instead of hiring an outside video editor for a highlight reel from an event, or multiple consultants to produce an ad shoot for a campaign launch, we can offer a streamlined “one stop shop’ for these services. This holistic approach means each project informs other projects we work on together and allows us to stretch resources (be they principal time, travel, or budget) to their greatest impact possible.

Combined Expertise

With multiple decades of combined experience in campaign, government, and advocacy work across many different roles, we bring a more comprehensive understanding of how the parts of our clients’ organizations work together (and how they don’t). We are able to look around corners to areas that need coordination, and ensure that different departments get what they need out of a summit, a bus tour, or a campaign launch without duplicative work streams or redundant consultants.

What's in Store

We’re incredibly excited to see where this next step takes us and our events in the coming years. We look forward to introducing you to Kevin and their work and discussing the new ways we can support the projects you are working on.
